Hi Everyone! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I sure did. We did a lot of packing and listening to these awesome speakers with uplifting messages here.
I am so happy to introduce to you, Erinn, who not only has a super cute blog, but is so kind, creative and has the cutest baby girl! Here is Erinn!
Hi Friends! I’m Erinn from Strawberry Swing and other Things and I’m so honored that Brenda invited me to guest post. I don’t know about you, but it seems there is a major baby boom going on amongst my circle of friends! So I thought I’d share my favorite Baby Shower gifts.
I love shopping registries because I want to make sure I’m getting the mom-to-be something she needs and brand preference she wants, but I also like to search for something out of the ordinary or something that the new parents might not indulge themselves in. Aren’t those the best gifts of all?
My absolute favorite newborn product on the planet are Aden and Anais swaddle blankets. We had a springtime baby, and we used our blankets to swaddle, to cover the stroller, and as burp cloths. I always had one within arm’s reach or over my shoulder. They are super soft and so lightweight that you don’t have to worry baby overheating. (I’m also just as big a fan of their sleep sacks, loveys, wash cloths, and bibs!)
These personalized burp cloths were actually a gift I received at a shower, and now are my go-to new baby gift. I’ve gifted them at showers, but sometimes when the name is undecided or withheld, I’ll wait until the little bundle of joy arrives and then bring them with when meeting the new baby. Everyone loves to have something with baby’s name on it!
Speaking of, the Pottery Barn Kritter Wraps can also be personalized and are sized for years of use. Nothing as cute as a squishy little baby in a hooded towel… am I right? Or am I right?
Bumkin bibs are one of the forgotten registry products. I find new mommas usual focus on the first six months – bottles, boppy’s, and bumbos. When baby starts eating solids, having a wipeable bib is clutch. Bonus, they fold up so thin for traveling in the diaper bag!
Also, like the bibs, thinking outside of adorable onesies and tiny socks, baby needs a stocked medicine cabinet and while the idea of the NoseFrida might skeeve you out, it’ll be your best friend during baby’s first cold. Paired with Boogie Wipes, baby will be breathing free all night long.
Everyone includes Sophie the Giraffe as a “must have”, but Bath Time Sophie is just as cute! And Lifefactory teethers were a blessing when our baby was starting the “everything in the mouth phase”, but couldn’t really get her small gums around some of the larger teething toys. They are slim to grip and great for chewing.
A classic book to start the new baby’s library is a must!
Finally, a Blabla Doll is total splurge, but a sweet indulgence. These hand knit Made in the USA dolls are adorable and a huge hit with mommies and babies alike!
What are your go-to gifts??
