Seattle showers bring lots of flowers! It seems like there are lots of reasons to give people flowers lately: Teacher Appreciation, Mother’s Day, birthdays, thank-yous, etc. While I do love real flowers, a lot, I also love the longevity of paper flowers. Why not combine two huge trends: pinatas and florals?
The past few months have been super hard- especially for one of my kids. He has had a hard time going to school and it was a fight every time to take him. He would cry and scream at drop off. I was just at a loss- I felt like a terrible parent. After many talks with his teachers we figured out something that would work for him. They took the time to talk to me and were really interested in what would be in his best interest. While things are not perfect- things have improved drastically! I couldn’t be more grateful for teachers who really care about their students and wish I could gift them something everyday! This project I came up with is so easy you could probably manage to do it everyday….hah!
The Big Bloom kit sold at Michaels includes everything you need to create large paper flowers. Paper flowers really can’t get any easier to make! The kit includes petal and center pieces, as well as adhesive and come in many colors and sizes. SO easy to make and can be used to decorate parties, rooms, etc. I thought I would make these for my son’s teachers because they have been so patient and understanding for the past several months as we have worked through severe separation anxiety. It is the least I could do to thank them. If you’d like to make these for someone you care about as a “thank-you” or as party favors just follow below!
