I was able to attend a blogger’s Barre class at Cardio Barre Quarry Bend in Sandy a couple of weeks ago. I had heard so many great things about Barre classes and I was so excited to try one with some friends. I thought it was like a ballet class but it was that on steroids. Seriously. It was ballet, yoga and cardio in one and it kicked my butt big time. It worked my entire body and I sure felt it for the next few days.
I am not an exercise fiend and have a tough time finding time to work out but I really loved this class and will be going regularly. It really is like a 3-1 class. The key parts that I felt it worked on me was my glutes (or lack thereof) and my abs which were destroyed by pregnancy and my c-section. I feel like it is fun and entertaining and provides the sculpting results. They are actually having a living social deal for 10 classes for $39 right now so go and check it out!
I also went to the coolest handmade/small business art/gift show, Oh Sweet Sadie. If I had more money I would have bought everything there. We have so many creative and innovative people in Utah. It was held early September for 3 days. I am not sure when the next one is but if you missed it last time, you need to check it out next time. My faves: Garden Salsa, Berylene’s Chocolate, Evie and Olive, Shirley Lane Chocolates and so many more! I really love to support handmade/small businesses (because I am one of them!) and would love for you to go and check out boutiques in your area and check out some fun and new things!
