With 3 children under 5 and a work-at-home Mom, I am lucky if I get a shower in most days! Please tell me I’m not the only one. Some days I love wearing my comfy sweat pants and slippers around the house, but when I want to be the most productive I actually get ready, makeup and all. I do keep my slippers on though- they keep my feet so toasty in the midst of this blistering cold winter.
To me, being a busy Mom doesn’t mean I have to sacrifice beauty and style. I have to remind myself to take care of myself, too. I feel like I am the most productive and mentally put together if take the time to feel and look my best physically. You may be asking yourself, who has the time to get all cute and do makeup and hair? Well, I hate taking a long time to get ready because time is precious to me. I don’t spend more than 30 minutes, including shower time, getting ready. My kids need me to play with them, feed them, drive them to school, imagination class, piano, play dates, etc. and I want to look and feel my best while I play all these roles.
My belief is that accessories are what pull an outfit together, don’t you think? I could throw on a simple shirt and once I add the piece of jewelry it is the finishing touch. You are no longer 90% styled, but 100%- just take it that extra step. Trust me, it makes a difference! A casual outfit can be elevated with this Multi Strand Sterling Silver Bracelet. It is so simple and non intrusive but adds just a tiny bit of sparkle to an everyday outfit.
I would love this for Christmas! Direct from Italy, the Capri Necklace is available exclusively from Shane Co. Personalize your Capri Necklace with your initials or favorite saying. I would get the initials of my children and my husband so I could have them close to my heart.
Even the most mundane tasks can make you feel elegant. Eternal and timeless, pearls never go out of style! Shane Co. cultured pearls are matched by hand for exceptional luster. To me, pearls are a girl’s best friend.
It never hurts to just add on a strand of pearls or a simple necklace or bracelet. For me, these work the best so my kids aren’t lured to pull on a big chunky statement piece nor am I scratching someone with a huge piece of jewelry. I prefer a simple sparkle to finish my look as I rush out the door with babies in each arm. What are your favorite go to pieces of accessories?
