I’ve been looking for ways to spruce up my and the kid’s art room/office. I didn’t want it to be too stuffy and plain but something playful yet not too childish or kitschy since we share the room. I saw this map and loved how fun it looked. I got it printed at Office Max and hung it up. I thought it was a great addition but wanted a little color on it to make it suitable for the kids, too.
The sold out Amy Tangerine Plus One line was perfect for this simple update (on sale now on HSN). I love the bold colors and designs of her line! It definitely added a youthful feel to our plain room.
Amy Tangerine Embroidery Stencil Kit has some great colors and the other bundles, basic, embellishment and stamping kit, I just love and start at just under $20. You can also get the Plus One Project Life Mini Kit will also be available at a discounted rate. The more the merrier!
I actually don’t know how to embroider but I do know how to do a running stitch! I thought adding a little bit of color to the states, of this embroidered map project, we have visited served a dual purpose. The kids love to see where their Babba and Grandpa live and where their Abuelitos live.
They know where the state they live in is and what state we will be moving to.
No wonder the Plus One collection was the top selling signature line released in winter 2014! I think it adds a nice touch! Such a simple project and it didn’t take long at all. It is exciting to see where we still need to travel to and explore. I wish you could see the colors better in the pictures but in real life they look pretty vibrant. And the skinny washi tape and brightly colored clothespins from the
Amy Tangerine Embellishments Kit made everything coordinate perfectly.
